ルカによる福音書10章1節以下では、イエスが弟子たちのほかに72人を任命し、ご自分が訪問する先に前もって二人ずつ一組にして、派遣したことが書かれています。「収穫は多いが、働き手が少ない。だから収穫のために働き手を送ってくださるように、収穫の主に願いなさい。」とイエスは言われるのです。
  長きに亘るコロナ自粛による行動制限もあって、私たちは「収穫は少ない」と思い込んでいるのではないでしょうか。しかし、イエスは「収穫は多い」と言われるのです。そのことをアーメンと信じて、日ごとの福音宣教のわざに励みたいと思わされます。
  さらに、遣わされたる者たちに向かって「財布も袋も履物も持って行くな。」と 主は言われます。これらは、宣教の働きに従事する者が、道中で出くわす困難を避けるために、働き人が予め用意する備え（資金）を意味します。主イエス は、福音宣教とは、そのようなものを準備万端整えて初めておこなうようなものではないと言われるのです。
  キリスト教伝道が、なぜ全世界へと大きく拡大、進展して行ったのか、それはこの精神のゆえです。神学校週間を次週にして、本日は伝道の心構えについてみ言葉に聞きます。

   In Luke 10:1 and following, we read that Jesus appointed 72 men in addition to his disciples and sent them in pairs ahead of time to the places he would visit. Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. "
   We may assume that the harvest is "little," partly because of the long-standing restriction of activities due to the corona self-restraint. But Jesus says, “The harvest is plentiful." Believing this with Amen, we should strive to do the work of preaching the gospel day by day.
   Furthermore, to those whom He sends, the Lord says, "Do not take a purse or bag or sandals." These are the provisions (funds) that a worker prepares in advance in order to avoid difficulties that he or she may encounter along the way. The Lord Jesus says that gospel preaching is not something that can be done only after all such preparations have been made.
   This spirit causes that Christian evangelism has greatly expanded and progressed throughout the world. With Seminary Week coming up next week, today we will hear from the Word of God about how to be prepared for evangelism.

  本日の詩編40編には「ダビデの賛歌」という小見出しが付いています。ここでは、ダビデの名前を借りた一人の詩人が、何か大きな試練を体験したこと、さらに、それをくぐり抜けた後の感謝と喜びの思いが表現されています。
  それがどのような体験だったのかは詳しく述べられてはいません。しかし、詩人がこの試練のただ中に放り込まれた時、彼は未来への望みを断たれ、泥沼のような苦しみと悲しみを味わったと言うのです。
  信仰をもって歩む人生の歩みの中で、私たちも同じような苦しみや悲しみを経験します。その苦しみは「キリストゆえの苦難」であることもしばしばです。「信仰がなければ、このように苦しむ必要はなかったはずなのに…」そのような思いを抱くことも、少なくないのです。
  しかし、本日の詩編40編で、詩人は最後に感謝を込めてこう言います。「主は耳を傾けて、叫びを聞いてくださった。…わたしの口に新しい歌を、神への賛美を授けてくださった」と。
  本日は、この詩編40編から神さまのメッセージを聞き取ります。

   Today's Psalm 40 has the subheading "David's Hymn." Here, one psalmist who borrows David's name expresses his experience of some great trial, as well as his feelings of gratitude and joy after passing through it.
   He does not elaborate on what the experience was like. However, when the poet was thrown into the middle of this ordeal, he says that he experienced muddy suffering and grief, with his hopes for the future cut off.
   In our walk of life with faith, we experience similar suffering and sorrow. Often that suffering is "suffering because of Christ. We often think to ourselves, "If I didn't have faith, I wouldn't have to suffer like this..."
   But in today's Psalm 40, the poet concludes with thanksgiving: "The Lord listened, and heard the cry. He gave me a new song, praise to God."
   Today, we hear God's message from Psalm 40.

  本日の聖書である「フィリピの信徒への手紙」は、いわゆる第2回伝道旅行において、パウロが「マケドニアの叫び」を聞いた後に、訪問したマケドニア第一の都市フィリピに立てられた教会に向けて書き送られた手紙です。この手紙を書いた時、パウロは獄の中にあり、監禁・拘束されていました。
  しかし、その獄中のパウロのもとに、フィリピ教会は信徒代表としてエパフロディトを送り、彼を通して献金や物資などの支援をおこないました。パウロは、そのことに大いに感激し、「わたしは、あなたがたのことを思い起こす度に、私の神に感謝し、…いつも喜びをもって祈っています。」と、本日の手紙で言い表しています。フィリピ教会とパウロとは、ゆるぎない信頼関係によって 深く強く結びついていたのです。
  本日のフィリピ信徒への手紙1章9節で、パウロは次のように祈っています。「知る力と見抜く力とを身に着けて、あなたがたの愛がますます豊かになりる…（ように）」と。本日は、この聖書の箇所から響いてくる使徒パウロのメッセージに耳を傾けます。

   Philippians is a letter written for the church built in Philipi , the first city in Macedonia, which Paul visited after hearing the " The cry of Macedonia" during his so-called second missionary journey. At the time of writing this letter, Paul was in prison, confined and bound.
   However, the Philippian church sent Epaphroditus as a representative of the believers to Paul in prison and provided support such as donations and supplies through him. Paul was so moved that he expressed in the letter, "I thank my God every time I remember you.... I always pray with joy" . The Philippian church and Paul were deeply and strongly tied together by a solid relationship of trust.
  In Philippians 1:9, Paul prayed, “your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,..”. Today we will listen to the message of the Apostle Paul that resonates from this passage of Scripture.

  本日はペンテコステの礼拝日です。ペンテコステとは、ギリシャ語で「50日目」という意味です。イエス・キリストが十字架上で死んで葬られ、復活されてから50日目が本日の日曜日です。本日の聖書箇所である使徒言行録2章1節で、「五旬祭の日が来て」と記されている原文では「ペンテコステの日が来て」と書かれています。
  五旬祭は、本来イスラエルの三大祭りの一つであった「七週の祭り」を新約聖書の教会が受け継ぐ形で祝われました。ユダヤでは小麦の穂に鎌を入れた日から数えて七週目に、神から受けた祝福を感謝し、収穫感謝の捧げもの をする祭りとしてこれを祝いました。その日は、モーセが神の山（ホレブ；シナイ山）で主から律法を与えられた日と重なるとされ、大切な記念日になりました。
  そのようなユダヤの三大祭りを祝うために世界中からエルサレムに上って来ていたユダヤ人たちを前にして、弟子たちの上に聖霊が降り、彼らが福音の言葉を「分かる言葉」で語り伝えたというのです。本日は、この箇所から聖書のメッセージを聞いてゆきます。

●5月28日  ペンテコステ礼拝 週報巻頭言  牧師 木村 一充

   Today we have Pentecost worship. Pentecost means "50th day" in Greek. Today is Sunday, the 50th day since Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and was resurrected. In today's Bible passage, Acts 2:1, it says, "When the day of Pentecost came,"
   Pentecost was originally celebrated by churches in the time of the New Testament, which took over the Feast of Weeks, one of the three major festivals of Israel. In Judea, they celebrated on the seventh week from the day when they put the sickle into the first ears of wheat, as a festival of giving thanks for the blessings received from God and offering thanksgiving for the harvest. That day was considered to coincide with the day when Moses received the law from the Lord on the mountain of God (Horeb; Mount Sinai), and it became an important Memorial Day.
   The Holy Spirit descended on the disciples in front of the Jews who had come up to Jerusalem from all over the world to celebrate the three major Jewish festivals, and then they taught the words of the Gospel with “understandable words”. Today, we will listen to the message of the Bible from this passage.

  本日の箇所である創世記18章16節以下の段落では、アブラハムにイサクの誕生を予告した三人のみ使いが、その後、ソドムとゴモラの町を視察に行く場面が書き記されています。
  ソドムとゴモラの罪は非常に重く、その知らせが天上の主の耳にまで届いたというのです。主なる神がこれらの町を滅ぼそうとされていることを知ったアブラハムは、主の前に進み出て、ソドムのために嘆願しました。
  「あの町に正しい者が 五十人いるならば、その五十人のためにあなたは町をお赦しにはならないのですか」そのように主に尋ねて、「もしソドムの町に正しい者が五十人いるならば、その者たちのために町全部を赦そう」という答えを得るのです。
  アブラハムは、この答えを聞くと、正しい者の人数を少しずつ値切っていきます。最後は10人になりました。主なる神は「その10人のためにわたしは滅ぼさない」と、アブラハムに言われたのです。今朝は、この箇所を通して「執り成しの祈り」とはどういうものかを思い巡らせつつ、そこから響いてくる神さまのメッセージに耳を傾けたいと思います。

   In today's passage, Genesis 18:16 and the following paragraphs, it says the three angels, who predicted the birth of Isaac to Abraham, went to inspect the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah.
   The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah were so serious that the news reached the ears of the Lord in heaven. When Abraham knew that the Lord God was going to destroy these towns, he came before the Lord and pleaded for Sodom.
   "If there are fifty righteous people in that city, won't you forgive the city for the fifty?"　He asked and the Lord answered, “If there are fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will forgive the whole city for them.”
   When Abraham heard this answer, he bargained little by little for the number of the righteous. We ended up with 10 people. The Lord God said to Abraham, "For those ten, I will not destroy." This morning, we would like to listen to God's message that resounds through this passage as we turn over in our mind what "intercessory prayer" means.
