イエスがある所で祈っておられた時、弟子の一人がその祈りが終わるのを待ちかねていたかのように、こう求めました。「主よ、ヨハネが弟子たちに教えたように、わたしたちにも祈りを教えてください」（ルカによる福音書11：1〜）この弟子の願い求めは、現代に生きるわたしたちにも当てはまる事柄です。わたしたちも、何をどのように祈ればよいのか、往々にして分からなくなることがあるからです。
この問いに応える際に、イエスが示された祈りが「主の祈り」と呼ばれている祈りでした。これは、初代教会の礼拝のなかでの定型的に受け継がれていた祈りであったと考えられています。
今週と来週の二度にわたって、この主の祈りの文言をたどりながら、礼拝説教のみ言葉として分かち合います。主の祈りはその前半部分が、父なる神に関する祈りであり、後半が「わたしたち」に関する祈りです。いわば、垂直方向の祈りと水平方向の祈りを併せ持つかたちで、この祈りは構成され、今日でも、教派を超えたほとんどの教会で礼拝の中で唱和される祈りとなっています。この祈りの意味内容を、二週にわたって学びます。

教会とは何でしょうか。新約聖書に登場するその原語（ギリシャ語）は「エクレシア」であり、もともとは「人々の集い」を意味しましたが、転じて「神の呼びかけで集められた人々」という意味になりました。つまり、イエス・キリストの名のもとに集まった信仰者の共同体のことを聖書は「教会」と呼んだのです。
プロテスタントの教会では「使徒信条」が礼拝の中で唱和されることがあります。そこでは「一つの、聖なる、公同の教会を信ず」と告白されます。教会が「一つであること」はその構成員が一つであるということではなく、彼らすべてに対して行為するキリストが一つであるということです。また教会の「聖なる」ことはその構成員が神聖であることではなく、キリストの行為の神聖さを示しています。最後に教会の「公同性」とは、その空間的な広がり、世界大の広がりを意味するのではなく、キリストの限界のない支配が言われています。キリストが支配する限り、そこに教会が存在するのです。
このような教会の本質を押さえながらバプテスト教会の特徴を確認し、神の教会を立てるとはどうすることかを考えます。

ペトロ第一の手紙は、公同書簡（カトリック書簡）または一般書簡として知られる新約聖書の手紙の一つです。公同書簡と呼ばれるのは、たとえば、パウロの手紙が一個の教会に宛てて、読者が限られていることを前提にして書き送られたのに対し、この手紙が「ポントス、ガラテヤ、カパドキア、アジア、ビティニアの各地に離散して仮住まいをしている選ばれた人たち」（すなわち、広範な地域で主に従って生きている信徒たち）に向けて書き送られている手紙だからです。
著者であるペトロは、当時ローマに滞在し、シルワノ（＝シラス）にこの手紙を持たせて、回覧状のようなかたちで諸教会の信徒に読んでもらおうと考えてこの手紙を書き記しました。
本日の1章におけるテーマは「終わりの日に向けての希望」です。「あなたがたは、キリストを見たことがないのに愛し、今見なくても信じており、言葉では言い尽くせないすばらしい喜びに満ち溢れています」とペトロは言います。本日はこの「キリストにある希望」をテーマにして、ともにペトロ書1章から御言葉(みことば)に耳を傾けたいと思います。

The First epistle of Peter is one of the New Testament letters known as the epistles of the canon (Catholic Epistles) or the general epistles. It is called a canonical letter because, for example, Paul's letter is addressed to a single church and written to a limited number of readers, whereas this letter is written to “a chosen people who are scattered and temporarily living in various places in Pontus, Galatia, Capadocia, Asia, and Bithynia” (i.e., believers living according to the Lord in a wide This is because it is a letter written to “the chosen people who are living in temporary residence scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia” (i.e., believers who are living according to the Lord in a wide area).< br /> The author, Peter, was in Rome at the time and wrote this letter with the intention of having Silwano (= Silas) read it to the flock of the various churches in the form of a circular letter.
Today's theme in chapter 1 is “Hope for the Last Days. Peter says, “You love Christ even though you have never seen Him, you believe in Him even though you do not see Him now, and you are full of joy too great for words. With this theme of “hope in Christ” as our theme, we would like to listen to the Word from 1 Peter together today. < /span>

本日は、私どもの栗ヶ沢教会に東京北キリスト教会より石原光夏さん、下條岳さんの二名がお越しになっています。東京北キリスト教会は、2018年の連盟総会で「地域協働プロジェクト」の申請をした教会です。当教会も、その「協働教会」になりました。
東京北キリスト教会は、1987年に茗荷谷キリスト教会が株分けによって北区に開設した「開拓伝道」の実りとしての教会です。借家伝道の中で豊かな恵みを受けましたが、限界もありました。広さ17.5坪、定員40名というワンルームでの礼拝では35名を超える礼拝を維持できませんでした。
このような中、2018年、母教会をはじめとする複数の教会の支援の下、「地域協働プロジェクトの申請」が、連盟総会議案として提出されました。これによって、連盟から8000万円の資金提供を受けて、会堂建築のための土地（不動産）を購入する資金に充てる、という内容です。この議案は、賛成多数で可決、承認されました。
本日の礼拝では、その後の北教会の歩みを具体的にお聞きします。「ニュースレター」だけでは読み取れない現状が、お二人の証しから、リアルに伝わってくることでしょう。

Today we have two members from Tokyo Kita Baptist Church, Ms. Mitsuka Ishihara and Mr. Takeshi Shimojo, visiting our Kurigasawa Church. Tokyo Kita Baptist Church is a church that applied for the “Community Collaboration Project” at the General Meeting 2018. This church also became its “Cooperative Church”.
Tokyo Kita Baptist Church was established in 1987 as the fruit of “pioneer evangelism” in Kita-ku, Tokyo, by Myogadani Christ Church through a share split. Although we received rich blessings in the course of tenant evangelism, we also had our limitations. With an area of 17.5 tsubo and a capacity of 40 people, the church could not sustain worship services of more than 35 people in a single room.
Against this background, in 2018, with the support of several churches, including our mother church, an “Application for Community Collaboration Project” was submitted as a proposal to the Federation's General Meeting. This would provide for 80 million yen from the Federation to be used to fund the purchase of land (real estate) for the construction of a congregation building. The proposal was approved by a majority vote.
In today's service, we will hear specifically about the progress of Kita Church since then. Their testimonies will give us a realistic picture of the current situation that we cannot read from the “newsletter” only.

新しい年、2025年がスタートしました。新年明けましておめでとうございます。関東地方では昨年暮れから好天が続いており、そのため、今年の元日も雲一つない快晴の一日となりました。今年2025年の、皆さまがたの歩みが、神さまの守りの中で、穏やかで喜びに満ちた一年となりますよう、お祈りいたします。
本日の聖書箇所は、教会学校の分級での学びと連動するかたちで、マタイによる福音書3章7節以降をとしました。バプテスマのヨハネの宣教の場面ですが、ヨハネの母エリザベトとイエスの母マリアとは、親類であったと、ルカ福音書に記されています。そうすると、イエスと洗礼者ヨハネも親類だったということになります。そのことも背景にあったためか、ヨハネの洗礼運動がスタートしたころ、イエスもヨハネの運動に加わり、一緒に活動していたのでした。ところが、そのヨハネが捕えられると、イエスはユダの荒野を去って、故郷のガリラヤに戻り、神の国の福音を宣べ伝える働きを始めるのです。なぜ、イエスは ヨハネと訣別し、洗礼運動ではなく「神の国運動」を始めたのか。本日はこのことを手掛かりにして、メッセージを聞いてゆきます。

Happy New Year! A new year, 2025, has begun. The weather in the Kanto region has been fine since the end of last year. Today's scripture is a part of our study in the church school class. The Bible verses today are from Matthew 3:7 onward, in conjunction with the church school class study. The scene is John the Baptist. Elizabeth, the mother of John was a relative of Jesus' mother, Mary. It means that Jesus and John the Baptist were also relatives. This background may have brought Jesus to John's Baptismal movement when John started the movement, and Jesus also worked with John. However, when John was arrested, Jesus left the wilderness of Judea and returned to his hometown in Galilee. And He began to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Why did Jesus part company with John and start the “Kingdom of God Movement” instead of the Baptismal movement? This is the clue for today's message.
